Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Professional proficiency in English and All Spoken Languages.
• Ability to accurately provide consecutive interpretation.
• Successful completion of language/proficiency evaluations.
• Résumé in English during the application process.
• Basic computer/technology proficiency.
• Ability to travel to onsite assignments.
• Background checks and security screenings may be required.
• Independent contractor relationship; no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and All Spoken Languages during onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable to an accepted assignment.
• Follow applicable interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, privacy, security, and assignment protocols.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA as appropriate.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain language proficiency and subject-matter knowledge for accurate interpretation.
