Job summary

Propio Language Services is seeking Spanish Onsite Contract Interpreters to facilitate accurate English-Spanish communication in the Columbus, OH metro area. The role focuses on consecutive interpretation during onsite assignments and remote interpretation by phone or video where applicable.

Qualified candidates will have professional interpretation experience, English/Spanish proficiency, and completion of relevant evaluations.

Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to accurately provide consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish.
• One or more years of professional interpreting experience.
• Completion of applicable language and interpreting proficiency evaluations.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and professional consecutive interpretation between English and Spanish during accepted onsite assignments.
• Provide remote interpretation by telephone or video when applicable to an accepted assignment.
• Follow applicable interpreter protocols, professional standards, and client requirements.
• Comply with applicable Propio and client requirements relating to interpreter ethics, confidentiality, privacy, security, and assignment protocols.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with privacy, security, and data-protection requirements applicable to each assignment, including HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and applicable client requirements.
• Maintain professional interactions with clients, patients, customers, visitors, healthcare professionals, and other participants.
• Maintain professional language proficiency, terminology, and subject-matter knowledge necessary to perform accepted assignments accurately and professionally.
