Russell Tobin is seeking an Onboarding Specialist in Minneapolis, MN, for a 5-month W2 contract. You will support the end-to-end onboarding experience, ensuring compliance with employment eligibility requirements and company policies.

The ideal candidate has experience in onboarding, HR operations, compliance, and case management within a regulated environment, and will handle I-9 activities, documentation, and customer-focused service.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in HR, onboarding, compliance in a regulated environment.
• Working knowledge of Form I-9: Sections 1 & 2, reverifications.
• Experience with HRIS like Workday or ServiceNow.
• Strong attention to detail and discretion.
• Ability to handle multiple cases and meet SLAs.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital workflows.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate end-to-end onboarding from pre-employment to post-hire.
• Oversee daily I-9 activity and ensure compliance with federal timelines.
• Manage caseload using Case Management System and adhere to SLAs.
• Escalate complex issues to appropriate stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, employment eligibility regulations, and risk-based processes.
• Support operational audits, documentation reviews, and compliance monitoring.
