Job summary

NRI Resource Management Services (RMS) is seeking a Network Engineer II for a contract position in Lyons, PA. The engineer will ensure LAN/WAN operation, design, install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, and collaborate with manufacturing to meet uptime and security objectives.

Responsibilities include monitoring, asset management, performance tuning, firewall/VPN configuration, and incident reporting. Strong Cisco experience and ITIL familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT/CS.
• CCNA or CCNP certification preferred.
• Experience with TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VLANs, and DNS/DHCP.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network availability and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Manage network assets, inventory, and standard configurations.
• Lead installation and documentation of networking standards.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and outages; schedule upgrades.
• Configure routing, switching, and hosted IP voice services.
• Perform basic firewall changes and VPN setup; provide status reports.
• Audit IP addressing and data center device inventories.
• Provide after-hours support or project work as needed.
• Enforce security policies and remote access controls.
