Job summary

Magnit Direct Sourcing, on behalf of Toyota, seeks a Technician (Quality Seibi) for a 12-month contract in Georgetown, Kentucky. The role focuses on QA metrology using portable CMMs and 3D systems, with responsibilities spanning tooling checks, data gathering, and troubleshooting to support pre-production builds.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in automotive/aerospace quality metrology, and is proficient with PolyWorks, FARO, Vectorarm, Leica, and related software.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years automotive/aerospace quality metrology (sheet-metal QA)
• Experience with portable CMM equipment, scanners, laser trackers (FARO, Vectorarm, Leica, Creaform)
• Experience with 3D comparison software (PolyWorks, Cam 2, Scene, PC DMIS)
• Strong mechanical ability with small hand tools
• MS PowerPoint, Excel and Word proficiency
• Able to create and maintain schedules
• Willing to work weekends/holidays/overtime
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Able to perform medium-heavy physical work
• Flexible and adaptable to daily changes
• Self-starter and motivated to improve skills and new tech

Responsibilities

• Check body welding tooling and part accuracy using Vectorarm, Perceptron, and FARO portable CMM equipment
• Gather part information from Digital Engineering systems (PolyWorks, Catia, 3D imaging)
• Check part quality using hand tools and fixtures
• Support Sheetmetal Sub-assembly and Body build trials during pre-production events
• Troubleshoot equipment, tooling, parts and fitments
• Analyze part and sub-assembly data and provide feedback to project leaders
