Job summary

Karma Automotive, Inc. seeks a Metrology and Quality Technician to support measurement activities across Body Shop, Paint Shop, GA, and Final Process Audit areas. Responsibilities include in-process inspections, line audits, and maintaining calibration of measurement devices and gauges.

You will apply GD&T, leverage CMMs and laser trackers, and collaborate with Production and Engineering to ensure products meet quality standards. Some travel to Irvine may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree or 5+ years in quality engineering in auto manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Proficient with CMM, laser trackers, Romer/LEICA arms.
• Experience with PolyWorks, M3, CATIA/3D CAD, STEP/IGES.
• GD&T applications and QC standards knowledge.
• Six Sigma Green Belt desired but not required; willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Inspect components at Body Shop, Paint Shop, GA, and Final Process Audit as needed.
• Learn and follow Karma Quality Inspection Standards.
• Ensure products meet requirements via inspections of components, stampings, castings, and supplier parts.
• Liaise with Production, Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
• Support Lean/Kaizen, Six Sigma projects and CI initiatives.
• Travel to Irvine corporate office if needed.
