Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Material Flow Engineer to optimize warehousing and material flow in a data-driven supply chain and manufacturing environment on a defined-term contract. You will lead improvements from development through full-rate production, working with cross-functional teams to ensure health, efficiency, and readiness.

The role requires CAD expertise, Lean manufacturing experience, and the ability to implement value stream mapping and line balancing across multiple sites in Columbus,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in high-rate manufacturing or supply chain with data use.
• Hands-on warehousing, material flow, and procurement experience.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and reading drawings.

Responsibilities

• Scale best-in-class material flow and warehousing across programs from development to full-rate production.
• Identify bottlenecks in inventory, line layouts, or staffing and drive resolution.
• Own metrics and KPIs for production health, including cycle time and inventory accuracy.
• Conduct time studies to inform continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Lean practices.
