Job description

Hill International is seeking a Contract Manager in Seattle, WA. This role reports to the Contract Management Lead and offers a hybrid work arrangement.

The Contract Manager will manage all aspects of Consultant-involved contracts throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-award to close-out. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with contract terms, facilitating stakeholder communication, overseeing change processes, document control, and risk mitigation. The role is vital in maintaining accurate contract documentation, processing paperwork, and supporting the successful execution of contracts.

Qualifications
  1. Contract Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of equipment procurement, services, or construction contracts.
  • Ability to interpret complex contract documents, policies, procedures, and laws.
  • Experience managing contracts through all lifecycle stages, ensuring compliance.
  • Organizational & Administrative Skills:
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in record-keeping, document management, and applying retention policies.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Skilled in preparing detailed reports and documentation.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting and explaining contract language.
    • Ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
    • Maintains professionalism and tact in difficult situations.
  • Problem-Solving & Technical Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills and logical problem-solving approach.
    • Proficiency in contract management software, project management tools, and MS Office.
    • Proactive in identifying and resolving issues.

    Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 7 years’ experience with contracts and legal agreements.
    • Experience managing public records.
    • Knowledge of Washington state procurement laws and regulations (preferred).
    • Experience with marine electrification or ferry terminal standards (preferred).

    The salary range is $130,000-$170,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, flexible spending accounts, 401(k), paid time off, and professional development programs.

    Responsibilities
    • Manage active contracts, ensuring deliverables are met and compliance maintained.
    • Support contract communication and change management processes.
    • Oversee document control and records management.

    • Ensure records retention in accordance with policies.
    • Perform additional tasks as required, maintaining professional interactions with all stakeholders.
