Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee seeks a certified contract manager for the Division of Children's Medical Services, Bureau of Child Protection and Special Technologies. The role requires meticulous contract oversight, renewal processing, and timely invoicing.

You will prepare amendments, monitor compliance, and maintain detailed contract files. The position involves coordinating with program staff, attending meetings, and ensuring adherence to state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Must obtain Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) within 12 months of hire.
• One year of contract or grant experience.
• One year of experience using contract and financial applications.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Availability to travel 30% of time.
• Not a Telework position; work in Tallahassee office.

Responsibilities

• Manage CPT, FPICN, and SATP contracts including development of contract documents, amendments, and renewals.
• Communicate with programmatic personnel and attend relevant meetings.
• Monitor contracts within required timeframes for fiscal, programmatic, and administrative compliance.
• Ensure timely execution of contract documents and coordinate with Division Contract Liaison.
• Maintain complete documentation of contract management activities in appropriate files.
• Prepare amendments, renewals, extensions; maintain contract files and budget activities; perform reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and department laws, rules, and policies.
• Establish and maintain tracking/reference logs to improve timeliness and efficiency.
• Maintain invoice review processes and amendment documentation for consistency.
• Maintain contract invoice logs and ensure timely payment within prompt payment requirements.
• Create and update logs for amendments, progress, and payments in Excel.
• Complete and maintain training on accountability in contracts and grant management.
• Other duties as assigned.
