Job summary

The Florida Department of Health seeks a Government Operations Consultant II to review and advance infant, child, maternal and reproductive health programs. You will lead and collaborate on health initiatives, provide technical assistance, and liaise with agencies to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities include contract oversight, data analysis to improve services, and participation in quality assurance and purchasing activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in program and/or grant management in a public health setting.
• Serves as contract manager as required by section 287.057(15), Florida Statutes.
• Ability to travel within and outside the State of Florida.
• Purchasing -This position is responsible for the preparation of purchasing and the approval of purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Review infant, child, maternal and reproductive health materials for policy impact.
• Plan, develop, implement infant/child health initiatives; provide technical assistance.
• Coordinate with agencies and vendors; monitor contracts and deliverables.
• Perform quality assurance reviews of Healthy Start coalitions and providers.
• Assist with legislative bills, budget issues, and grant applications.
