Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care within scope of practice.
• Ensures patient needs are met per standards and orders.
• Notifies departments of patient changes (admission, discharge, room changes).
• Educates patients and families.
• Administers medications timely per facility policy.
• Administers treatments timely per facility policy.
• Receives, transcribes, and carries out physician orders when allowed by Nurse Practice Act.
• Makes rounds with physicians when necessary.
