Job summary

Intone Inc. is seeking a Field Operations Specialist for a 6-month, on-site engagement based in Brooklyn and the Bronx, NY. Standard hours are 9:00 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch, totaling 35 hours per week. Responsibilities include validating daily IT operations in MDF/IDF/datacenter rooms, installing UPS and PDU, maintaining hardware inventories, coordinating with vendors, and rack/stacking equipment across ACS sites in NYC.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 5 years of proven Field Operations IT experience.
• Required: Experience managing MDF/IDF rooms.
• Required: Proficiency with MS Office suite and collaboration tools.
• Required: Knowledge of Windows servers, VMware, Cisco gear, Wi-Fi and datacenter concepts.
• Required: Strong communication and vendor relations abilities.
• Required: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel between NYC ACS sites.

Responsibilities

• Validate daily operations of IT equipment in MDF/IDF/datacenter rooms across locations.
• Install and configure UPS and PDU to support hardware.
• Maintain inventory of hardware in IT rooms
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment deliveries and replacements
• Rack and stack servers, switches, routers, APs
• Perform commissioning of UPS, PDU, and environmental monitors
• Patch networks and complete circuit cutovers with NYC teams
• Decommission and remove retired hardware during refresh projects
• Collaborate with Infrastructure groups to resolve hardware issues
