Job summary

Vaco is seeking an Interim Controller (Contract) for Richardson, TX. Hybrid 3 days/week. The candidate will oversee accounting operations, ensure GAAP financial statements, maintain balance sheet integrity, and lead process improvements.

Requires 7+ years in accounting/finance and a Bachelor's degree; NetSuite experience; healthcare industry a plus. Compensation: $70-$90/hr. This role focuses on strong internal controls, timely reporting, and collaboration with management.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Experience in healthcare industry a plus.
• Experience with NetSuite is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, billing, cash management, and month-end close.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Support preparation of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting for management and corporate stakeholders.
• Oversee and administer company 401(k) plan, including compliance, reporting, audits, and coordination with 3rd party administrators.
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll tax filings and payments (federal, state, and local).
• Oversee federal income tax.
• Manage sales and use tax compliance, registrations, and audit support.
