Job summary

State of Maryland, Department of Juvenile Services, seeks a seasoned HR Generalist to provide technical advice on recruitment, classification and staffing matters. You will manage recruitment announcements, review applications, and oversee the interview and hiring process.

The role covers onboarding and HR policy guidance for the DJS East Region. The position requires extensive experience in HR, including recruitment, classification and salary administration, with strong knowledge of HR policies

Qualifications

• Six years of HR experience including recruitment and employment services.
• Experience with job analysis, job evaluation and salary administration.
• Knowledge of HR policies and procedures; testing and validation experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance on recruitment and staffing to DJS employees and managers.
• Prepare recruitment announcements, review applications and oversee interview process.
• Oversee non-competitive classifications, acting capacity reviews and salary administration.
• Support onboarding programming and ensure compliance with HR policies and laws.
