Job summary

The Global Edge Consultants LLC is seeking a Project Engineer II / Execution Engineer for a 12- to 24-month onsite contract in Houston, TX. The role embeds in the PMT to drive robust execution strategies and deliverables across onshore upstream assets.

Candidates should have 3–10 years in energy/oil & gas project engineering, multi-discipline experience, and travel willingness to the Middle East (Iraq). Proficiency in MS Office and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an accredited university.
3 to 10 years of direct project engineering and execution experience in the energy/oil & gas sector.
Multidisciplinary foundation across engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls workflows.
Willingness to travel internationally to Middle East operating locations, including Iraq.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
Exceptional verbal and written English communication; ability to manage technical interfaces across cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with Stage-Gate Capital Project Management Systems and FEED alignment.

Responsibilities

Author core project deliverables with the Execution Lead and PMT.
Coordinate Stage-Gate deliverables (Gate 3 execution packages) per project controls.
Support ITT development, bid evaluations, and contractor selection; align FEED with handover.
Serve as primary liaison between engineering disciplines, project teams, and external EPCs.
Coordinate change requests, workshops, minutes, and the project action register to closure.
Facilitate smooth stage-to-stage transitions, monitor construction/design alignment.
