Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Huntington Park, CA is seeking a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under the direction of licensed nurses. Qualifications

• CNA license required.
• Minimum 6 months CNA experience or relevant clinical experience.
• Genuine desire to care for ill, elderly, and infirm.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to interact tactfully with residents, family, visitors, and staff.
• Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.
• Good health and emotional stability.
• Ability to relate to ill, disabled, elderly residents, and those under emotional distress.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
• Make resident rounds at the beginning of each shift and every two hours thereafter.
• Verify resident identification before care or serving food.
• Report missing ID bands to admission coordinator.
• Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
• Assure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh drinking water and within the resident's reach.
• Other related duties as directed by the Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses, or Administrator.
