Job summary

InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited seeks an IT specialist for a contract role supporting the C&ED project. You will join our headcount to implement a private cloud system and provide ongoing system support across Huawei Cloud Stack, Linux servers, and network devices at North Point and data centres.

The role requires hands-on Huawei Cloud Stack, Linux administration, patching, security, and capacity planning, with occasional after-hours work and travel to data centres as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher diploma in CS/IT or equivalent.
• 4+ years post-qualification experience; 2+ years in a similar role.
• Experience with Huawei Cloud Stack offerings and Linux systems.
• Knowledge of network devices, security patches, and DR planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct SA&D and system implementation for a new private cloud.
• Support revamp of Unix-based systems to the new platform.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system incidents promptly.
• Provide technical support to end-users and staff.
• Review and apply security patches and perform capacity planning.
• Provide server support and collaborate with contractors as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Duties

Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the C&ED; The CAP is required to provide system implementation services for a new private cloud system. The duties include but not limited to the following:

• - to work with Contractor to conduct System Analysis and Design (SA&D), system implementation, performance tuning and documentation work for a new private cloud system;
• - to work with Contractor to provide support for revamp existing Unix-based system to the new system;
• - to troubleshoot, rectify and resolve system problems when incidents occur;
• - to render technical support to end-users and other technical staff;
• - to review and apply security patches to the systems;
• - to perform server support duties and capacity planning; and
• - to perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

The candidate is required to work outside normal office hours. He / She is also required to travel to C&ED data centres to provide support if necessary. The candidate shall have experience in installation or supporting configuration on Huawei Cloud Stack (including FusionSphere Cloud Suite, ManageOne, RDS for MySQL, OceanStor BCManager, Cloud Container Engine, FusionGuard), Sansec HSM and Kylin Linux. The candidate shall have experience in installation or supporting on Huawei network products (including Switch, Firewall, IDPS) and Venustech Global Site Load Balancer. The candidate shall have working experience in Linux system administration, including patch upgrade, health check and other relevant service components. Checking on qualification, experience and integrity for the candidate is required and the consent of the candidate will be obtained during the recruitment interview.

Technical Skills

• . At least 1 year's experience in Data/File Backup Technology (DFT);
• . At least 1 year's experience in Linux System Administration (LIN);
• . At least 1 year's experience in Production Database Support (PDS);
• . At least 1 year's experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM);
• . At least 1 year's experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT);
• . At least 6 months' experience in Router Configuration (ROU);
• . At least 6 months' experience in Metro-Ethernet Network (MNE);
• . At least 6 months' experience in Network Design (NDN);
• . At least 6 months' experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW);
• . 6 months' experience in Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) is an advantage;
• . 6 months' experience in Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) is an advantage.

Non-Technical Skills

• . Good spoken English is a must;
• . Good written English is a must.

Qualifications

• - Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
• - At least 4 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
