Job summary

Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU) Information Technology Office invites applications for a Systems Analyst (Data Warehouse). The role focuses on building end-to-end data pipelines, integrating data sources, and enabling AI-driven analytics to support campus decision making.

The appointee will design and maintain data warehouses, ensure data quality, security, and compliance with university policies; experience with Oracle/MSSQL, BI tools, and ETL is essential. Closing date 30 August 2026.

Qualifications

• A recognised degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience, preferably with exposure in Oracle/MSSQL Database, AI Model Integration Techniques, ETL Processing and Methodologies.
• Solid hands-on experience with: Reporting and BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS etc); ETL/ELT tools, SQL and data analytics (Alteryx, PL/SQL, T-SQL, SSIS etc).
• Row-level Security and secure data access design.
• Microsoft Fabric IQ, Fabric Data/AI tools, or other cloud data platform.
• Solid experience in implementing data warehouse solutions, preferably in higher education.
• A keen interest in the latest generative AI developments and a passion for innovation.
