The City of Grand Rapids is seeking a Contract Administrator to monitor and administer contracts between contractors, consultants, and service agencies and the Engineering Department. You will provide technical assistance, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The role involves reviewing bids, drafting amendments, and reporting to funders. A Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of contract administration experience are required, with

• Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, or a related Human Services field; equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• At least one year of professional work experience in Contract Administration or related work.
• Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities

• Monitors contracts and enforces provisions; assists in contract changes and amendments.
• Reviews bid solicitations and proposals; monitors funding levels and initiates contract negotiations.
• Provides technical guidance to contract agencies and contractors; ensures compliance with grants and regulations.
• Maintains records and prepares reports for federal and other funders; participates in special projects as needed.
