Passaic County Health Department is seeking a Contract Administrator 1 to oversee contracts and grants, maintain financial records, and support budgeting across health programs. The role requires managerial oversight of budgets, expenditures, and reporting, with emphasis on compliance and accurate fiscal oversight.
Under the Department Head, you will provide technical assistance in grant preparation, monitoring, and evaluation, and supervise fiscal staff to ensure timely closeouts and audits.

Under the direction of the Department Head, reviews and administers all contracts and grants; maintains all financial records in all platforms required for budgets, grants and contracts; provides technical assistance in the areas of contract and/or grant preparation, monitoring, and/or evaluation; provides recommendations for contract/grant approval to administrative staff; does other related duties.
EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and computerized information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.
Note: This is a vacant, grant-funded, non-union, unclassified, and exempt position. The selected employee will serve a probationary period and must file a Civil Service Commission (CSC) application to be considered for permanent appointment.

Requirements:
Education:A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Health, CPA, Public or Hospital Administration or Social Work (with concentrationsin Health, Administration, or Social Policy) may be substituted for one (1) year of basic experience. There is no substitution for the one (1) year of experience involving responsibility for some aspects of
contract/grant work.
Experience:Two (2) years of experience involving contract/grant work, project financing, construction management, fiscal administration, social service administration, and/or budget and management operations of a government or business entity, at least one (1) year of which shall have involved responsibility for some aspect of contract/grant administration.
