Job summary

Passaic County Health Department is seeking a Contract Administrator 1 to oversee contracts and grants, maintain financial records, and support budgeting across health programs. The role requires managerial oversight of budgets, expenditures, and reporting, with emphasis on compliance and accurate fiscal oversight.

Under the Department Head, you will provide technical assistance in grant preparation, monitoring, and evaluation, and supervise fiscal staff to ensure timely closeouts and audits.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience involving contract/grant work, project financing, fiscal administration, or related areas.
• Experience in government or business entity budgeting and management operations.
• Experience with contracts, grants, or procurement processes recommended.
• Substitution rules allow a Master's degree in lieu of one year of experience in some cases.

Responsibilities

• Review and administer contracts and grants; maintain financial records for budgets, grants and contracts.
• Provide technical assistance in contract/grant preparation, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Prepare budgets, fiscal reports and quarterly expenditures; reconcile accounts.
• Complete project closeout, including final invoices, audits, and compliance checks.
• Develop and update fiscal policies and procedures; supervise fiscal staff.
