Maverick Search has partnered with Applied Technical to identifya detail-oriented and proactive Contract Administrator to join its Legal Department. This role is ideal for a legal operations, contracts, paralegal, or compliance professional who enjoys managing complex agreements, supporting business operations, and partnering with stakeholders across the organization.
As a key member of the legal team, you will oversee the contract lifecycle from drafting and negotiation through execution and renewal, while supporting compliance initiatives, corporate governance activities, and legal operations. Success in this role requires strong judgment, exceptional organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
Contract Management & Legal Operations
- Draft, review, negotiate, and administer NDAs and other routine commercial agreements.
- Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents for attorney review and execution.
- Manage contract lifecycle processes, including renewals, amendments, expirations, and compliance obligations.
- Maintain contract databases, legal records, and document management systems.
- Support customer, vendor, employment, lease, and other contractual documentation.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Review Certificates of Insurance (COIs), endorsements, and related documentation.
- Complete customer certifications, representations, and compliance documentation.
- Verify international business partners against applicable sanctions and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with legal compliance initiatives and records management programs.
Corporate & Government Contract Support
- Support government contracting activities, including representations and certifications, subcontract documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with corporate governance initiatives and merger & acquisition due diligence projects.
- Respond to subpoenas and legal requests for records production.
- Provide support for claims management, collections matters, and special projects.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Business Administration, Paralegal Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, legal operations, paralegal support, government contracting, or a related field.
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating routine contracts and legal agreements.
- Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and administration processes.
- Ability to identify contractual risks, recognize non-standard terms, and escalation issues appropriately.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, CLM platforms, and document management systems.
- Experience supporting federal, state, or local government contracts.
- Familiarity with corporate legal department operations and corporate governance.
- Experience with legal technology platforms and AI-enabled productivity tools.
- Georgia Notary Certification, or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire.
