Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC’s WECTEC Staffing Services is seeking an Accountant level 2 for a 5-month contract (W-2) in Juno Beach, FL. You will support accounting operations, financial reporting and process improvement for Unregulated Property Accounting. The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 6+ years experience in financial reporting and strong GAAP/SOX knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA, CMA, MBA or Master's in Accounting preferred.
• 6+ years of experience in financial reporting, policy development and compliance.
• Experience with accounting research initiatives and policy development.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX compliance and accounting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal partners to support timely accounting operations.
• Manage month-end close activities, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Apply GAAP and internal controls to ensure accurate reporting.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and resolve issues.
• Prepare management reporting and support external reporting requirements.
• Execute SOX controls and maintain data integrity.
• Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
