Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Malden, MA is seeking a Senior KPO Technician to lead hands-on Kaizen activities and support a lean, safe, efficient operation. The role emphasizes continuous improvement on the shop floor and collaboration across functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0-1 years in continuous improvement related experience.
  • 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with all functional departments and handles Continuous Improvement requests.
  • Undertakes independent projects as needed in support of the department.
  • Supports Supervisors, Team Leaders and Associates in applying Lean principles.
  • Assists in creating Work Instructions, Daily Management, Six Sigma and TPM documents.
  • Assists in designs and fabricates equipment from Creform Tubing and other materials.
  • Assists in completion of Kaizen Newspaper Action Items.
  • Participates in and supports Kaizen Events.
  • Adheres to Core Values and Core Competencies.

About the Opportunity:

The Senior KPO Technician will focus primarily on hands on shop floor Kaizen activities, performs a variety of Continuous Improvement tasks in support of the Kaizen Promotion Office. Aides in creating a safe, efficient, and effective Lean operation.

Malden MA

This role will be onsite 100% of the time. I

t is a 1st shift position with core hours of 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.

Responsibilities:
  • Interfaces with all functional departments and handle Continuous Improvement requests

  • Assists in the completion of Kaizen Newspaper Action Items
  • Participates in and supports Kaizen Event

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-1 years in continuous improvement related experience
  • 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Associate Degree or equivalent experience
Physical Requirements:
  • Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
