Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace in Prescott, AZ is seeking a Machine Maintenance & Facilities Technician to provide mechanical, electrical and control support across production machining, NPI, and facilities. The role covers 5+ axis CNCs, lathes, and of various OEMs, with a focus on repair, preventative maintenance and safety compliance.

Expect extended hours as needed. The position requires hands-on troubleshooting, collaboration, and strong problem-solving in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent completed.
• 3+ years of experience repairing machines, equipment, and industrial systems.
• 3+ years experience repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. full-time without sponsorship now or in future.
• Must meet ITAR/EAR compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all assets to ensure proper operation.
• Provide preventative and corrective maintenance on CNCs and facilities.
• Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Install, service and maintain facilities equipment.
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other lifting gear.
• Assist with safety walks and comply with site policies.

About The Opportunity

As a Machine Maintenance & Facilities Technician, you will provide mechanical, electrical and control support to production machining, NPI, and facilities. Supporting a large variety of machine configurations and OEMs are supported including 5+ axis mill turn applications, lathes, boring machines, broaches, compressed air systems, etc. The Machine Maintenance Technicians are responsible for repair, preventative maintenance and modification of that machinery. This role will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining other facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. The position will require collaboration and critical thinking to troubleshoot unique equipment issues and develop quick resolutions in a demanding environment.

Location:

This is a full-time role that may require some extended hours and weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all assets to ensure their proper operating condition
• Provide preventative and correct maintenance on various complex CNCs: 5 axis milling, mill turn applications, and lathes
• Schedule and execute on-time preventative maintenance plans for a variety of machines across production areas
• Troubleshoot, and repair control and electrical system failures involving PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, input/output, and field sensors
• Troubleshoot and repair various machine tool hydraulic and pneumatic systems including actuators, valves, pumps, and filters
• Troubleshoot and repair machine tool mechanical systems including ballscrews, linear rails, guideways, and gearboxes
• Install, service and maintain the operating condition of all the facilities equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and machinery by scheduled deadline
• Assist EHS with hazardous waste accumulation area checks, safety walks.
• Drive forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and company vehicles
• Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial discipline repairing machines, equipment, and equipment.
• 3+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repair
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
• Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with one or more of the following CNC control systems: Siemens, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Allen Bradley
• 5+ years of experience as a maintenance technician or field service engineer
• Experience installing, aligning and commissioning 3 and 5 axis machines in an aerospace environment
• Experience adjusting CNC geometry components including – straightness, squareness, linear accuracy, servo tuning, tool center point control
• Experience in the application & operation of precision machine tools in aerospace manufacturing environment
• Experience operating a forklift and other related equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics and drawings
• Ability to write detailed repair reports (advanced MS Office skills)
• Ability to use power tools and hand tools as well as heavy equipment
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean working environment while adhering to company policies, quality policies, and industry standards
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to demonstrate a high sense of urgency
• Analytic thinker that gets to the root of problems and comes up with permanent solutions to remedy issues
• Self-motivated and able to work well with others

Working Conditions

• Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of being forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift certified
• Must be able to climb ladder, work on platforms, and climb stairs
• Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
• Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
