Job summary

T Bailey, LLC is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to lead shop floor and office improvement projects. You will turn messy data into clear information, write standards, and build training to sustain gains with operators, zone supervisors, shop management, engineering, and estimating.

You will work hands-on on the shop floor and in the office, focusing on DMAIC projects and developing standard work to support ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Familiar with DMAIC and basic lean tools such as process mapping, root cause analysis, and eight wastes.
• Strong spreadsheet skills for cleaning up data.
• Clear writing to translate expert explanations into actionable steps.
• Comfort on a fabrication shop floor and ability to earn trust of operators.
• Good organization to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvement projects from charter to close-out using DMAIC.
• Make data useful by collecting time studies, cleaning forms, and building SPC metrics.
• Write standard work and build control plans for checking and actions.
• Develop training from standards into lesson plans, checklists, and competency tests.
• Keep standards current and report progress to CI Manager and steering committee.
