Job summary

ProAmpac, a leading global flexible packaging company, seeks a Continuous Improvement Manager at our Wrightstown, WI site. You’ll collaborate with SMEs to analyze processes, charter improvement projects, and drive on-the-floor optimization in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Must have a four-year degree or CI training, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office/SharePoint; Lean/Six Sigma preferred. On-site role with travel as needed and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Four-year technical/Bachelor’s degree or Continuous Improvement Practitioner training with manufacturing CI experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication across all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • General manufacturing knowledge, product quality standards understanding.
  • Excellent time management to handle multiple projects and day-to-day problems.
  • Overcome obstacles with positivity and adaptability.
  • Proficiency with Word/Excel/Outlook/SharePoint and quick learning of new software.
  • Flex packaging industry exposure is a plus, not required.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold safety and recognize employees for involvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement on the manufacturing floor with operators and time studies.
  • Lead projects by gathering data, setting goals, deadlines, and reporting improvements.
  • Coordinate with Department Managers on project priorities and updates.
  • Audit quality, safety, and environmental housekeeping procedures.
  • Support a 24/7 operation as needed.
  • Stay organized, self-directed, and capable of prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Apply analytical thinking to absorb new procedures and industry advances.

Our Wrightstown, WI production site is seeking a dynamic Continuous Improvement Manager. We are in need of an operational investigator to collaborate with SMEs in a manufacturing facility, analyze and identify areas for improvement and charter projects to improve manufacturing processes. This role may require occasional travel to other locations based on business needs.

What you will do
  • Uphold a genuine regard for safety, ensuring employees understand and follow safety guidelines and recognizing individuals for their involvement
  • Drive continuous improvement by spending time on the floor talking with operators, completing time studies, verifying/validating SOPs, etc.
  • Lead projects by gathering information from hourly employees, creating tangible goals and deadlines, and reporting improvements to all employees
  • Align with Department Managers on priority of projects and provides updates
  • Audit quality, safety, and environmental housekeeping procedures
  • Flexible to support a 24/7 operation
  • Be highly organized and self-directed with an ability to prioritize projects, combined with the ability to provide and receive direction.
  • Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to quickly absorb new procedures and new industry advancements.
Education / professional background
  • Four-year technical/Bachelor’s degree or Continuous Improvement Practitioner training with relevant work experience applying continuous improvement methodologies in manufacturing required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, to work with manufacturing operations personnel throughout the levels of the organization
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • General knowledge of manufacturing, including the desired properties and quality standards for products
  • Must have strong time management skills to handle multiple ongoing projects in addition to day-to-day process problems
  • Overcome obstacles and setbacks and react with positivity and optimism in the face of unforeseen challenges
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel, Outlook, Share Point, and the ability to quickly learn software needed to perform job specific duties.
  • Flexible Packaging Industry experience (Flexo printing, extrusion lamination, and/or converting) is a plus, but not required.
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification is preferred
