Job description

Job Description

The Continuous Improvement Manager will provide a full range of productivity services to Operations and direct cost reduction programs for the facility, including leading lean events, implementing Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) throughout the facility, developing and measuring facility systems, and developing and delivering continuous improvement training programs. This role involves providing direction in disciplines of best business practices, including yield improvement, manpower utilization, overhead spend, capital utilization, indirect spend, plant utilization and efficiency, and working capital management for raw materials and finished goods. The manager will act as a coach for KHMS, lead the Site Steering Committee, and work closely with the KHMS Task Force to enhance process utilization and employee proficiency, ensuring business results are achieved. Additionally, the person will support and coach front-line managers, supervisors, and team leaders in adopting KHMS principles.

Key Responsibilities of the Role

  1. Develop and update productivity decks
  2. Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
  3. Coordinate major supply chain initiatives to optimize costs across purchasing, distribution, manufacturing, R&D, packaging, and engineering
  4. Implement and train personnel in MOS & Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
  5. Participate in the yearly QRMP audit and assist in developing procedures and corrective actions
  6. Support the implementation of QRMP system and standards to meet RCR targets
  7. Share and implement best practices across the Supply Chain
  8. Manage KHMS progression using TRACC as a tool
  9. Develop and maintain KPI visuals
  10. Oversee the Priority One system, ensuring all projects are current and users are trained
  11. Create and track KPIs and related systems
  12. Conduct waste analysis for all production lines
  13. Lead plant-wide 5S initiatives
  14. Manage the department’s operating budget
  15. Supervise and evaluate the Continuous Improvement staff
  16. Partner with business leaders to implement process improvements using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies

Qualifications

  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Minimum of 2 years leading CI or transformation projects
  • Black Belt certification preferred; Green Belt certification required
  • Proven ability to overcome challenges to meet project timelines and cost goals
  • Creativity and innovative thinking to drive productivity improvements
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Knowledge of enterprise business principles and practices
  • Excellent presentation, mentoring, and coaching skills

Salary Range: $88,000 - $110,000

Bonus: Performance-based bonus eligibility
