Job Description

The Continuous Improvement Manager will provide a full range of productivity services to Operations and lead cost reduction programs for the facility. Responsibilities include leading lean events, implementing Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) throughout the facility, developing and measuring facility systems, and delivering continuous improvement training programs. The role involves disciplines of best business practices such as yield improvement, manpower utilization, overhead spend, capital utilization, indirect spend, plant utilization, efficiency, and working capital management for raw materials and finished goods. The manager will act as a coach for KHMS and lead the Site Steering Committee to implement KHMS, working closely with the KHMS Task Force to promote process utilization and proficiency, and support front-line managers and team leaders in adopting KHMS principles.

Key Responsibilities of the Role
  1. Develop and continuously improve productivity decks.
  2. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through process improvements.
  3. Coordinate initiatives across Supply Chain including purchasing, distribution, manufacturing, R&D, packaging, and engineering.
  4. Implement and train staff on MOS & Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
  5. Participate in the QRMP yearly audit and develop related procedures and corrective actions.
  6. Assist in implementing QRMP system and standards to achieve targeted RCR.
  7. Share and implement best practices across Supply Chain.
  8. Manage the progression of KHMS using TRACC as a tool.
  9. Develop and maintain KPI visuals and tracking systems.
  10. Oversee the Priority One system, ensuring user training and project updates.
  11. Develop waste analysis for all production lines.
  12. Lead plant-wide 5S initiatives.
  13. Develop and manage the department’s operating budget.
  14. Manage and evaluate the Continuous Improvement staff, including performance and development.
  15. Partner with business leaders to implement process improvements using Six Sigma / Lean methodologies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • At least 2 years of leading CI or transformation projects.
  • Black Belt Certification preferred; Green Belt Certification required.
  • Proven ability to overcome obstacles and meet project timelines and cost targets.
  • Creative thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of enterprise business principles.
  • Strong presentation, mentoring, and coaching skills.
Additional Information

Salary Range: $88,000 - $110,000. This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus. Benefits include healthcare, wellbeing programs, and other employee benefits as detailed. Location: Avon Plant.
