Qualifications

Job description

Job Summary

This role will support plant operations by expanding the capabilities of the Conagra Performance System (CPS) and managing improvements in plant performance by identifying opportunities for enhancement. It leads the execution of processes to eliminate losses and develops strategies to foster organizational growth by reducing non-value-added activities and ensuring continuous improvement. Collaborating with plant leadership, this role will lead both hourly and salaried team members in process improvement activities.

Job Description

Reporting to the Plant Manager at our Quincy, MI manufacturing facility, a local producer of Hebrew National, you will support plant operations by expanding the capabilities of the Conagra Performance System (CPS) and managing improvements in plant performance through opportunity identification. You will lead process execution to eliminate losses and develop strategies for organizational growth by reducing non-value-added activities and fostering continuous improvement. Working with plant leadership, you will oversee a team of approximately 330 hourly and salaried employees involved in process improvement activities.

How Will You Affect Our Business?

  1. Collaborate with the corporate Continuous Improvement team to enhance plant capabilities in continuous improvement processes.
  2. Provide leadership and expertise in ConAgra Performance System (CPS) best practices, coaching teams in feedback, root cause analysis, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communication, and external interactions.
  3. Own responsibility for the plant's pillar and platform leads (such as 5S, Safety, Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement).
  4. Promote CPS concepts daily through coaching and auditing across the organization.
  5. Work with line structure leaders to develop leadership capabilities and foster collaboration across departments.
  6. Achieve business metrics by implementing CPS initiatives.
  7. Lead cost-saving projects aimed at eliminating losses and improving plant performance.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of plant-based operations experience in food or CPG manufacturing
  • 5+ years of experience in TPM-based continuous improvements, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related systems
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience working with production equipment and systems
  • Experience using business analysis for project management and implementation

Compensation:

Pay Range: $79,000 - $115,000

The listed annual salary is an expected offer; actual salary will depend on location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Conagra complies with applicable laws regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
