Job description

Job Summary

This role will support plant operations by expanding the capabilities of the Conagra Performance System (CPS) and managing improvements in plant performance by identifying opportunities for enhancement. The role leads the execution of processes to eliminate losses and develops strategies to foster organizational growth by reducing non-value-added activities and ensuring continuous improvement. Working closely with plant leadership, this position will lead both hourly and salaried team members in process improvement activities.

Job Description

Reporting to the Plant Manager at our Quincy, MI manufacturing facility, a local producer of Hebrew National, you will support plant operations by expanding the capabilities of the Conagra Performance System (CPS) and managing improvements in plant performance through opportunity identification. You will lead the execution of processes to eliminate losses and develop strategies for organizational growth by reducing non-value-added activities and ensuring continuous improvement. You will lead a team of approximately 330 hourly and salaried employees in process improvement initiatives, collaborating with plant leadership.

How Will You Affect Our Business?

  1. Work with the corporate Continuous Improvement team to build plant capability in continuous improvement processes.
  2. Provide leadership and expertise in ConAgra Performance System (CPS) best practices, coaching teams in feedback, root cause analysis, trade-off analysis, interpersonal communication, and external interactions.
  3. Own the plant pillar and platform leads (5S, Safety, Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement).
  4. Promote CPS concepts daily through coaching and auditing across the organization.
  5. Collaborate with Line Structure leaders to develop leadership capabilities and foster cross-departmental collaboration.
  6. Achieve business metrics through CPS initiatives.
  7. Lead cost-saving projects to eliminate losses and improve plant performance.

Do You Have What It Takes?

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of plant-based operations experience in food or CPG manufacturing
  • 5+ years of experience in TPM-based continuous improvements, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and related systems
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience working with production equipment and systems
  • Experience using business analysis for project management and implementation

Compensation:

Pay Range: $79,000 - $115,000

The listed salary is an expected range; actual compensation will depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Conagra complies with applicable laws regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
