Job description

Job Summary

This role supports plant operations by expanding the capabilities of the Conagra Performance System (CPS) and managing improvements in plant performance by identifying opportunities for enhancement. The role leads the execution of processes to eliminate losses and develops strategies to foster organizational growth by reducing non-value-added activities and ensuring continuous improvement. Working closely with plant leadership, the role will oversee hourly and salaried team members in process improvement activities.

Job Description

Reporting to the Plant Manager at our Quincy, MI manufacturing facility, a producer of Hebrew National, you will support plant operations by expanding the capabilities of CPS and managing performance improvements. You will lead processes to eliminate losses and develop strategies for organizational growth through reducing non-value-added activities and promoting continuous improvement. You will lead a team of 330 hourly and salaried members in process improvement activities.

How Will You Affect Our Business?

  1. Collaborate with the corporate Continuous Improvement team to enhance plant capabilities in continuous improvement processes.
  2. Provide leadership and expertise in CPS best practices, coaching teams in feedback, root cause analysis, trade-off analysis, communication, and external interactions.
  3. Own the plant pillar and platform leads (5S, Safety, Planned Maintenance, Focused Improvement).
  4. Promote CPS concepts daily through coaching and auditing across the organization.
  5. Work with line leaders to develop leadership capabilities and foster collaboration across departments.
  6. Achieve business metrics through CPS initiatives implementation.
  7. Lead cost-saving projects to eliminate losses and improve plant performance.

Do You Have What it Takes?

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of plant-based operations experience in food or CPG manufacturing
  • 5+ years of experience in TPM-based continuous improvements, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and related systems
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience working with production equipment and systems
  • Experience using business analysis to lead project management and implementation

Compensation:

Pay Range: $79,000 - $115,000

The listed salary is an expected range; actual salary will depend on location, experience, skills, and internal equity. Conagra complies with applicable laws regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
