We are recruiting for a Continuous Improvement Manager to champion transformation at our Peachtree City, GA, facility. As a key member of our plant leadership team, you’ll guide World Class Manufacturing (WCM) strategies, mentor cross-functional teams, and drive measurable results through data-driven improvements. You’ll also play a vital role in training, standardization, and innovation, making this a high-visibility role with room for growth across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement Lean / WCM principles/practices to minimize all forms of waste that support RPG WCM
  • Support production lines by coaching and mentoring on WCM activities
  • Manage facility training program, documentation of all training processes & manage all controlled documents.
  • Manage and assist department leaders to improve hourly employee competencies within all job bid positions using documented methods; JSA(Job Safety Analysis), WI(work instructions), and ISO-9001 quality procedures
  • Develop and maintain standard work instructions, One Point Lesson, training procedures, manuals, and training documentation as required.
  • Manage “Cost Deployment-Loss Identification” process for the entire Peachtree City facility and create/support teams that will work on improvement opportunities identified
  • Training of personnel on methodologies and techniques to drive results (KPI)
  • Manage capital CAPEX projects that fall within the area of responsibility.
  • Leads the WCM Coordinators and activities aligned with the Company objectives
  • Interacts with plant personnel to secure appropriate resources to plan and implement projects
  • Support WCM and Roofing teams with continuous improvement events
  • Develop, update, and maintain standard work instructions, One Point Lessons, training procedures, manuals, and training documentation for the operator proficiency program for all positions and support supervisors with employee training
  • Ability to carry out data collection and analysis for process mapping, time studies, and job evaluations
  • Ability to evaluate the current state of operations versus the goal of a future state
  • Supports 5S throughout the factory
  • Leads Kaizen events for continuous improvement
  • Provide training for employees on (RCA) Root Cause Analysis and other WCM tools
  • Travel, as requested, across multiple Roofing sites to gain and share best practices.
  • Support the implementation of a formal problem-solving system and supervise direct reports as assigned
  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as needed and/or requested by management.
  • Key member of the plant leadership team
Is this job for you ?
  • A bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Any appropriate combination of academic and “lean manufacturing” work experience.
  • Strong change management skills to include the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles and concepts
  • Ability to organize and plan the use of time and people effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to function, multi-task, and influence others in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written), problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to solve practical issues and deal with a variety of changes; Six Sigma experience is a plus
  • Training and experience in Lean manufacturing principles and Kaizen facilitation
