What You Will Do:

Under Johnson Controls' Continuous Improvement system, you will assess current performance, identify gaps, visualize future states, develop plans, monitor progress, and share best practices.

  • Identify gaps in Business Practice Metrics and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Assess current operations, develop a future vision, and oversee implementation.
  • Coach CI teams, including Plant Staff, Lean Implementers, Black Belts, and Green Belts, in applying DMAIC tools.
  • Establish and drive a continuous improvement Profit Plan and forecast goals.
  • Ensure Process Owner involvement in scope of work development and team leadership.
  • Develop a 'pull' system to replace BBs and LIs with qualified personnel.
  • Use tracking and reporting systems to plan, drive performance, and achieve quality and savings goals.
  • Collaborate on developing a plant C.I. Roadmap, balancing resources across projects like Just Do It, Six Sigma, and Lean.
  • Support Process Owners in overcoming barriers and driving change.
  • Document learning and share best practices across teams.
  • Identify and propose new project opportunities to leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience; or a minimum of 8 years of experience without a degree.
  • Proven high-level performance in previous roles.
  • Experience in large, complex organizations.
  • Initiative, motivation to drive change, and exceeding expectations.
  • Leadership skills to manage teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Basic statistical knowledge and application skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially spreadsheets.
  • Green Belt or higher Six Sigma certification.
