Job summary

Materion Corporation in Elmore, Ohio is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader to guide process control, cost and yield improvements, and cycle-time reduction. You will coach engineers in Lean Six Sigma and DMAIC, and collaborate with operators, maintenance, quality, R&D and planning to drive site goals.

The role requires system-wide process improvement leadership and the ability to develop and implement scalable procedures across manufacturing teams, with a focus on sustainability and margin

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent; 5–8 years in manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma.
• 5–8 years of process engineering experience in manufacturing or training in Lean Six Sigma/DMAIC.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams.
• Strong written and presentation skills.
• Export compliance eligibility for ITAR/EAR per policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead DMAIC projects across multiple facilities with cross-functional teams.
• Define and vet cost/improvement projects aligned to site goals.
• Collect and interpret manufacturing data to support root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and SPC measures.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering, Operations, and Quality to improve yield and cycle time.
