Job summary

Zurn Elkay's continuous improvement internship offers hands-on exposure to front-line business support functions. As part of the ZEBS team, you will engage in leadership development and networking activities to understand the company culture and leadership expectations.

You will work on-site at a site, partnering with leaders to identify process improvements, manage CI projects, and support visual management and KPI tracking while developing general business and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree; engineering preferred.
• Lean experience desired.
• Interest in mechanical tools, equipment, and processes; hands-on experience a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and strong oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to assess current processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Manage the process of selecting, scoping, prioritizing, and executing CI projects including review of resource utilization.
• Collaborate with leadership to create best practices related to all functions to align with business strategy.
• Develop and manage financial benefit and key performance indicators related to major activities.
• Support on-site visual daily management (VDM) and CI goals.

The Continuous Improvement internship gives students the opportunity to participate in exciting front-line business support functions. As an intern with Zurn Elkay, you will be part of the ZEBS (Zurn Elkay Business Systems) team, where you will have the opportunity to participate in leadership development and networking activities to gain exposure to Zurn Elkay culture and leadership.
