Tate's Bake Shop in East Moriches, NY seeks an experienced Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive waste reduction, line efficiency, and throughput improvements in our snack food manufacturing operations.

The role requires 5–10 years in continuous improvement, a Bachelor’s in engineering, and proficiency in Lean Six Sigma. You will lead cross‑functional projects, develop KPIs, justify ROI, and report progress to leadership while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, preferably within food or snack manufacturing.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct trade-off analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, throughput increase, and line efficiency.
• Develop, validate, and implement process controls based on product specifications to ensure consistent product quality.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify root causes, implement sustainable solutions, and drive measurable improvements.
• Conduct trade-off analyses to evaluate solutions and guide decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality & Food Safety, R&D, Corporate Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Partner with frontline employees to identify opportunities and gain buy-in for change implementation.
• Communicate project progress, challenges, and results to executive leadership and stakeholders with competing priorities.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, developing multi-prong strategies and prioritizing based on ROI and business impact.
• Develop, track, and report KPIs to ensure long-term sustainability of improvements.
• Support product quality improvement initiatives while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
