Job summary

Adient plc is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer in San Antonio, TX, to lead improvement initiatives across value streams. You will coach CI teams, align with plant leadership, and drive BBP metric improvements through DMAIC-project execution.

You will collaborate with Process Owners and Plant Management to develop and deliver the CI roadmap, ensuring annual goals are met and savings targets achieved while fostering best-practice sharing across units.

Qualifications

• Identify gaps in Best Business Practice Metrics (BBP’s), and work with all plant levels to establish and execute an improvement strategy.
• Assess current state of the department or plant’s value streams; develop future state vision and implement the plan.
• Coaches CI team, including staff, Black Belts and other CI practitioners to apply DMAIC milestones.
• Establishes C.I. Profit Plan and forecasts; drives team to achieve.
• Ensures Process Owner involvement in SOW development and team leadership.
• Prepares detailed plans using standard tracking/reporting systems to drive performance and savings goals.
• Collaborates with leadership to develop a department/plant CI Roadmap balancing internal efficiency and customer focus.
• Assists Process Owners in removing barriers and drives changes as needed.
• Drives best practice sharing and implementation across business units.
• Identifies and presents new CI project opportunities to Champion.
• Assists Plant Manager in strategic initiatives to improve standards and systems.
• Accountable for delivering annual CI goals.

Responsibilities
