Responsibilities
- Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to organizational processes and methods
- Collect and analyze data to support process improvement initiatives
- Execute Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain process documentation to support process improvement
- Train and mentor staff on new process changes and initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are implemented and corporate wide improvements are realized
- Develop strategies and plans to assure sustainability of improvements
- Monitor and report progress on projects and performance to senior management
- Travel to terminals in the network to observe operations and recommend improvements
- Implement strategies and tactics to increase driver and dock productivity and increase operational efficiency
- Support the other Engineers in the department
- Remain flexible to additional responsibilities as required; react to change effectively and handle other essential tasks as assigned
Other Duties
- Maintain and create PowerBI KPI reports for Upper Management
- Collaborate with Operations and IT to test different technological solutions
- Support terminal personnel when issues arise
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or another Engineering/Technical related discipline
- Proven experience in process improvement, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in data analysis and process improvement tools
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Must be competent and proficient in Microsoft Office Software products
- Knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI or another Business Intelligence software
- Experience with SQL and Snowflake are a plus
- 0 – 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Previous Transportation or Logistics experience is a plus
- Fluent command in the English language is required to efficiently communicate with internal and external customers
