Job Summary:

At Folding Guard, we are seeking an exceptional Continuous Improvement Engineer to spearhead our initiatives aimed at enhancing manufacturing efficiency, reducing waste, and driving significant improvements in our production processes. This role is critical in advancing our commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will have a direct impact on the company's bottom line by identifying and implementing strategies that streamline operations, improve product quality, and reduce costs. You will be at the forefront of fostering a culture of continuous improvement, influencing change across various departments and levels of the organization. Your responsibilities will not only involve tactical process enhancements but also strategic planning and implementation of state-of-the-art practices. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from small-scale process adjustments to major operational overhauls, requiring a blend of technical skills, project management prowess, and exceptional problem-solving capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes by applying continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. Identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
  • Lead and manage projects from conception to completion. Develop timelines, manage budgets, and ensure projects align with company goals and deadlines.
  • Analyze data and process metrics to identify areas for improvement. Utilize statistical tools and methodologies to understand process capabilities and set improvement targets.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as production, quality assurance, and supply chain, to implement process improvements. Facilitate and lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving activities.
  • Conduct training sessions for staff on continuous improvement techniques and tools. Mentor and coach team members in lean methodologies.
  • Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with industry standards and meet customer expectations. Implement and maintain quality control systems.
  • Assess new technologies and automation opportunities. Propose and oversee the integration of new equipment or software that can enhance productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Industrial, Mechanical, or a closely related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in a continuous improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record in project management and process optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Minitab, Excel).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of initiative and independence.

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation package commensurate with experience and expertise.
  • Opportunity to lead and shape the financial operations of a prominent manufacturing division.
  • Collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Professional growth opportunities and the chance to make a significant impact within the organization.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including:
    • Medical: Access to our medical insurance plan, which provides coverage for medical expenses and prescriptions.
    • Dental: Enrollment in our dental insurance plan, helping you maintain your oral health.
    • Vision: Participation in our vision insurance plan for regular eye exams and eyewear.
    • 401(k) Retirement Plan: Eligibility to enroll in our 401(k) plan, with a company match of the first 6% of your contributions at a 40% match. This is an excellent opportunity for you to save for your retirement with added support from the company.
