Job summary

North Central Texas College is seeking a CE Manager – Business and Industry to oversee development and administration of noncredit programs, certificates, and pathways in business, CDL, and related fields.

The role leads a team, manages scheduling and budgets, and collaborates with industry partners to expand workforce training and community education; reporting to the CE Division Director.

Qualifications

• Proficient in standard office procedures and technologies.
• Skilled in continuing education course and program development, planning and evaluation.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to build relationships with professionals and stakeholders.
• Experience in providing instructor and classroom support.
• Familiar with project management, budgeting and strategic planning.
• Knowledge of industry certifications and higher education functions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and coordinate work to implement programs on schedule.
• Develop and market business and industry continuing education certificates and pathways.
• Create new noncredit courses and programs with industry credentials.
• Manage contract training and workforce grant initiatives for partners and students.
• Ensure compliance with state guidelines and licensure requirements.
• Recruit instructors, negotiate salaries, observe performance, and advise improvements.
• Support division tasks and prepare reports and long-range plans.
• Represent the college in local and statewide committees and events.
