Job summary

Central Georgia Technical College in Macon, GA is seeking a Continuing Education Instructor in the Business and Industry area to provide non-credit instruction and evaluate student progress, traveling to campus and partner sites as needed. The role may involve teaching traditional day and/or evening classes or online classes and will require travel within the college’s service area.

Qualifications

• Earned Associate degree from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the US Department of Education.
• Documented three (3) years of experience in a business environment.
• Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction to students in classroom and/or lab settings.
• Develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives.
• Evaluates students’ ongoing progress and performance in attaining goals and objectives.
• Requests and maintains supplies and equipment.
• Prepares required budget requests
• Maintains program certification requirements
• Prepares and maintains documentation and administrative reports
• Maintains knowledge of current trends by attending in-service trainings and reading professional literature
• Maintains a secure classroom environment
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in training areas
• Completes all assigned trainings in a timely manner
• Other responsibilities as assigned
