Missouri Western State University invites applications for Content Tutor positions with the Center for Academic Support (CAS). Tutors assist with course material, attend a brief training, and enter availability in TutorTrac to enable student scheduling.
We hire MoWest students, at least part-time, with a minimum 3.0 GPA and an A or B in the course you tutor; recommendations from instructors or the department chair are required.
All students are encouraged to apply for Federal Work Study. You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit all requested documentation (if applicable) for your eligibility to be determined. In the MoWest Center for Academic Support ( CAS ), content tutoring is a term used to describe tutoring for subject areas other than general studies mathematics and writing. Content Tutors are listed for specific courses on the CAS website, and all Content Tutors are hired because of their knowledge in discipline(s).
Physical Demands Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Hours per week will vary based on the student demand for tutors throughout the semester.
