Job summary

NW Natural is seeking a Content Program Manager in Portland with hybrid work options. You will lead storytelling across intranet, website, and social channels, and direct design, photography and video projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations, Communications or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in a corporate communications environment or public relations agency.
• Experience in issues management, media relations, crisis communications required.
• Proven ability to gain trust quickly and to maintain confidentiality and credibility with media.
• Experience in the energy sector and public policymaking a plus.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Storytelling across channels; editing for intranet and website; editorial duties.
• Write clear communications for internal and external audiences and manage social content.
• Direct design, photography and video production for storytelling.
• Manage relationships with internal clients and subject matter experts.
• Serve as Public Information Officer, respond to reporter requests and handle media pager duty.
