Job description

Fast Talk Labs is an endurance sports media and education company focused on helping athletes and coaches improve, through trusted sports science, expert education, and practical coaching resources.

Our work spans the popular Fast Talk podcast, our YouTube channel, two newsletters, social media, online education, coach certification, and partnerships with cycling organizations and federations around the world.

We are looking for a highly organized, proactive Content Production Manager to help manage the media side of the business.

Our small staff produces a steady flow of high-quality content. We need someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and help deliver compelling media with limited resources.

This means doing everything from leading the growth of our YouTube channel to coordinating podcast episodes, managing sponsorship relations, maintaining a CRM, taking an entrepreneurial role in growing our influence, and keeping multiple projects moving at the same time.

The right person is a strong communicator and project manager who enjoys taking ownership across content, marketing, partnerships, and operations in a fast-moving, small-team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Podcast and YouTube Channel Management

Manage the day-to-day publishing and promotion of Fast Talk Labs content across podcast, YouTube, web, and social channels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Take a leadership role in strategy development to grow our podcast and YouTube engagement
  • Support the weekly Fast Talk podcast publishing and promotional workflow, including managing post-production.
  • Identify compelling short-form clips, hooks, and promotional moments from podcasts and long-form videos.
  • Help manage YouTube publishing strategy across full podcast episodes, original long-form videos, Shorts, and audiograms
  • Develop SEO-focused podcast and YouTube titles, descriptions, keywords, tags, and website key phrases
  • Create promotional copy for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and other social channels
  • Coordinate approximately six email newsletters per month, including writing, editing, selecting content, and managing CTAs
  • Work closely with the Content Director, podcast hosts, coaches, experts, and other team members to turn technical endurance-sports topics into accessible, compelling content

Advertising & Strategic Partnerships

Help manage Fast Talk Labs' growing advertising and partnership business across the podcast, newsletters, social media, and custom content

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for advertising partners and prospective sponsors
  • Conduct outreach to potential advertisers and strategic partners
  • Manage the sponsorship sales pipeline and CRM
  • Prepare media kits, campaign proposals, and sponsorship packages
  • Coordinate podcast intro ads, mid-roll integrations, custom sponsored episodes, newsletter placements, and social campaigns
  • Manage advertiser calendars and ensure all contracted deliverables are completed on schedule
  • Track campaign performance and provide relevant audience or content metrics to partners

What We're Looking For

The strongest candidate will be a versatile media expert and project manager who is comfortable taking ownership and working independently, rather than waiting for detailed instructions

You should have:

  • 3+ years of experience in digital media, communications, content marketing, or a related field
  • Experience partnerships, project management
  • An understanding of the modern media landscape and ways to increase influence and engagement
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Experience with podcast and YouTube publishing and management
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to manage many concurrent projects without losing track of deadlines or follow-ups
  • Familiarity with SEO and YouTube content optimization
  • Comfort learning new software and building new processes
  • A collaborative approach and comfort working with a small team where responsibilities frequently overlap

It would be great if you had experience with:

  • Cycling, endurance sports, sports science, or coaching
  • Advertising, sponsorship, or media sales
  • Email marketing and newsletters
  • Canva and basic visual-content creation
  • Monday.com, Trello, or similar project-management tools
  • CRM management and sales pipelines

What Success Looks Like

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will make sure content is consistently published and promoted on time; YouTube, podcast, and social channels continue to grow; advertisers receive excellent communication and reliable campaign execution; and partnership opportunities are diligently pursued

Most importantly, this person will be able to identify something that needs to get done and will be comfortable figuring out how to take ownership of it.
