The Wealthy Contractor is hiring a Content Marketing Specialist to join our awesome team and help scale our wildly successful podcast, coaching and mastermind programs, events, webinars, newsletter, and content communications! If you can work with multiple stakeholders, platforms, vendors and timelines while handling all facets of creating and coordinating compelling educational content used for both our marketing efforts and paying client programs, then this is the perfect opportunity to apply those skills while learning and growing within a dynamic company that has a stellar reputation and flourishing audience.

You will take part in all aspects of planning, creating, leveraging, and iterating our educational content and associated communications used across multiple channels.

Experience creating effective educational content, superb copywriting and communication skills, a keen eye for great visual communication, creativity, resourcefulness, proactive organization, meticulous follow-through, a curious mindset, and enthusiastic attitude are crucial in this position to ensure multiple programs and campaigns are successful.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage, streamline, and continuously optimize the content production process, ensuring efficient execution of the content strategy.
  2. Leverage a continual stream of educational content (generated by our podcast, coaches, event speakers, guest contributors, and external vendors) by forming efficient tactics to repackage and distribute across multiple channels in support of both client education programs and a content marketing strategy that generates traffic.
  3. Oversee the production of different forms of content, including but not limited to: podcast episodes, webinar presentations, publication articles, blog articles, books, worksheets, emails, videos, and other content and educational materials.
  4. Design and develop courses and training programs, primarily deriving the core content by collaborating with company’s coaches/SMEs and curating their presentations and expertise. (Includes reviewing and leveraging older “one-off” content backlog by organizing, repackaging, and fleshing out content and materials as needed.)
  5. Find creative ways to develop and implement tools, interactive exercises, infographics, templates, worksheets, and other supplemental materials used to aid educational materials (and potentially for use as top-of-funnel lead magnets.)
  6. Grow a massive, captive, engaged audience of home improvement business owners by identifying and creating short form content from larger presentations and materials to distribute across social media, email, and other channels, optimizing for each platform's algorithm to maximize reach and engagement.
  7. Load, post, configure, test and maintain learning content on all relevant platforms, including: CoachAccountable coaching platform, HighLevel Courses & Landing Pages, social media channels, etc.
  8. Serve as Editor in Chief for our quarterly newsletter and coordinate with article contributors, design team, and print/mail fulfillment to create an engaging final product for both mail and online distribution.
  9. Ghostwrite and/or edit articles used in company newsletter and as guest contributions to industry newsletters or blogs.
  10. Perform all other copywriting needs for the company including email communications, video scripts, direct mail letters, etc.
  11. Research and validate topics for reference material and monitor industry publications, consultants, coaches, and other SMEs to gather topics, trends, and ensure we stay ahead of the competition and ensure innovative and effective content and communications.
  12. Perform surveys to capture trends, topic ideas, and feedback.
  13. Analyze key content performance metrics, including search engine rankings, organic traffic, keyword performance, and audience engagement data, to optimize content for visibility, conversion, and consumption.
  14. Ensure all content produced adheres to branding and style guidelines, with consistency in brand voice, tone, style, and messaging that aligns with target audience.
  15. Work closely with the marketing team to brainstorm ideas, develop content strategies, and meet departmental goals for list growth and engagement.

  17. Collaborate with company founders, coaches, external vendors, and partners to ensure alignment and delivery of programs and materials. Manage relationships with creative vendors (graphic design, video productions, etc.) used in support of content creation efforts and see their projects meet delivery deadlines and standards.
  18. Drive the company’s mission by always representing our core values and bringing our vision to life in every corner of our content and communications.
Skills
  1. Demonstrable experience with creating educational content in two or more mediums.
  2. Strong expertise in copywriting and communications skills (expertise in direct response copywriting a big plus).
  3. Experience with directing/producing various graphic and video content (video editing and graphic design can be outsourced, but direct experience and portfolio in either discipline a big plus).
  4. A working knowledge of social media content format and distribution strategies.
  5. A basic understanding of Content Marketing strategies.
  6. A high level of technical acumen.
  7. Creatively inclined with a passion for the final piece.
  8. Experience working with small, cross functional teams and vendors.
  9. Proven project management capabilities juggling multiple projects at once with impeccable time management, prioritization, and follow through.
  10. Team player that likes to work with others.
  11. A thirst for learning and self-improvement.
  12. Passionate about taking the company to the next level - proactively keeps their finger on the pulse of our industry and the players within, looks into the future, takes initiative, and offers informed and thoroughly researched content strategies.

Education

Degree in Communications, Education, Instructional Design, Journalism, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field.

Qualifications
  1. 3+ years’ experience in a Content Marketing, Copywriting, Digital Learning, or similar role.
  2. Experience with the Home Improvement/Services Industry a big plus.
  3. Must be able to travel 2 times a year for company annual meeting and annual conference.
