Job summary

Operation Smile is seeking a Content Manager, Student Programs in Virginia Beach, VA to lead our content and communications strategy for youth advocacy and service. You will supervise staff and interns, develop digital and print collateral, and coordinate outreach to students and internal teams.

You will drive content across websites, social media, blogs, and newsletters, align with campaigns, and oversee events, mobility programs, and training initiatives on- and off-site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Prior experience in content production/social media.
• Prior experience working with youth, from elementary school through university-level students, is preferred.
• Prior experience planning events, conferences, and/or workshops is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of the Student Programs content and communications strategy.
• Supervise the Content Coordinator and departmental interns, providing mentorship and performance reviews.
• Lead communication training initiatives for students through programs such as U-Voice, We-Voice, conferences, and placements, both virtual and on-site.
• Direct communications and content coverage for leadership conferences, events, and mobility programs.
• Oversee the creation, editing, and distribution of digital content across channels while ensuring brand consistency.
