Basis is hiring a content-focused writer to own the written side of all materials, from case studies to social posts. You will interview accountants and finance leaders, craft compelling stories, and deliver research-driven content end to end.

The role emphasizes GEO-aware, AI-assisted content and collaboration with sales to generate pipeline. You will write for a sophisticated audience, manage assets from draft to distribution, and build content programs from scratch for growth in a fast-moving

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of professional writing or content marketing experience.
• 2+ years in-house at a company rather than agency or freelance.
• A portfolio showing speed and range, not just polish.
• In person 5 days a week in our Flatiron office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the written side of Basis content across channels (case studies, blogs, newsletters, social).
• Interview accountants and finance leaders to turn conversations into compelling stories.
• Own content research, drafting, editing, repurposing, and asset production (graphics, slides, landing page copy).
• Develop content strategies considering GEO, AI assistants, and search visibility.
• Collaborate with sales to build content that drives pipeline and close deals.
• Experiment with newsletters, podcasts, and new formats to test and scale.
