Job summary

Capital One in New York, NY seeks a Content Designer at the Manager level to join the Experience Design team focused on Core Card experiences. The role blends content design, leadership, and strategy to co-create innovative solutions and influence product direction.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in content design and UX writing, with strong portfolio showing leadership, collaboration, and impact. A design system and Figma proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in content design, content strategy, or UX writing.
• 6+ years of experience in content design and UX writing.
• Experience leading design projects or teams.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• Experience working in heavily regulated, data heavy problem spaces.

Responsibilities

• Combine craft expertise and leadership to co-create innovative solutions and influence product strategy.
• Lead design projects and mentor junior team members, building partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Navigate partners' needs with data, research insights, scalability and tech constraints to deliver customer-centered solutions.
• Apply insights on customers, competitors and market trends to business challenges shaping a shared point of view for the team.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of tech, data capabilities and emerging technologies to inform work and speed up delivery.
• Foster collaboration across lines of business and the organization to bridge information gaps.
• Present work to senior levels with a human-centered approach and influence strategic direction.
