Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Product Designer to join the Experience Design team in New York. You will blend craft, leadership, and customer insight to co-create innovative solutions and influence product strategy.

The role requires guiding projects, mentoring teammates, and collaborating with product, engineering, and business partners to deliver human-centered, data-informed designs in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a Product Design role.
• 5+ years of experience in design and prototyping tools such as Figma.
• 6+ years of experience in a Product Design role.
• Experience working with and contributing to an established design system.
• Experience collaborating with product, tech and business partners.
• Experience leading design projects or teams.
• Experience working in heavily regulated, data heavy problem spaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects and mentor junior designers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to inform tools and systems.
• Create artifacts such as journey maps, blueprints, high-fidelity designs and prototypes.
• Present work to senior leaders and influence product strategy.
